Fukushima: Japan Reactor to be Buried?

Fukushima, Japan (NEWSTABULOUS) – A last ditch effort is being considered by the officials in charge of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant to actually bury the problem reactors in sand and/or concrete.

The Fukushima Daiichi plant owned by Tokyo Electric Power Co., Tepco, is in dire straights trying to decide whether or not to take a lesson from the Chernobyl disaster and create a concrete sarcophagus that will, hopefully, encase the radioactive materials.

However, it will still remain, stuck in the concrete with the possibility of cracks, seepage and an even uglier mess, aesthetically speaking, along with it being a radioactive sore in the back of the Japanese’s minds prolonging the time the area would need to be quarantined, in all probability, for many decades.

The situation is a bit more grave at this point, and nuclear explosion and meltdown seem imminent.

The Fukushima 50 are still diligently working to avert this nuclear disaster.

Evacuees and even residents as far as Tokyo (189 miles away from Fukushima) have been instructed to stay indoors, wear masks, and stay out of the area.

Foreign nationals in Japan have been encouraged by their respective country’s leaders to leave Japan at least temporarily until the nuclear crisis is all figured out, and the area is deemed safe for humans.

The world prays for Japan, and is raising much needed relief funds for the Japanese.
