BoB: New Monocle Trend?

Will the monocle BoB wore while performing alongside Bruno Mars at the Grammy Awards tonight start a trend?

Well, it was introduced back in the late 1700s, and rose to popularity in the 19th century.  Maybe it’s time to bring it on back.

What is a monocle for? It was meant to correct the vision in one eye with a circular lens, attached to a chain or string that would be fastened to the wearer’s clothing so as not to lose it, and to provide quick access.

Hopefully, BoB didn’t wear the monocle to read the lyrics on the teleprompter for the song, “Nothin’ on You” – and it was to wow us with his fashion forward decision.

I don’t know – maybe a blinged out monocle is just the ticket for this Spring fashion season – we shall see what pops up on the runway at NY Fashion Week, followed by Miami Fashion Week.

A 19th Century Retro Throw Back – the monocle of 2011!  Sense of high fashion or a fashion faux pas flop?
